Leicester ended their home campaign on a high as they strolled to a 2-0 victory over Leeds at The Walkers Stadium.
The Foxes were in command from an early stage and goals from Dion Dublin and David Connolly ensured Craig Levein's side were not troubled by their visitors from Yorkshire.
Leeds were barely seen as an attacking force and their hopes disappeared 20 minutes from time when Clarke Carlisle had a penalty saved by Ian Walker.
Leicester took the lead with their first attack of note on six minutes, as Dublin climbed highest at the back post to head home a Gareth Williams corner.
The Foxes came close to doubling their advantage on 15 minutes but, after cutting through the Leeds back four, Williams failed to turn in Alan Maybury's near-post cross.
Connolly saw an effort rebound off the woodwork, but he found his range on 38 minutes when he slotted home from close range to give the home side a deserved cushion.
Leeds emerged from their slumber in the second half, with Marlon King forcing Walker into a fine save and they were handed a lifeline 20 minutes from time when Matthew Spring was felled in the box.
Carlisle strode forward with a deal of purpose, but his effort lacked conviction and Walker dived to his left to push the effort round the post.
Rob Hulse had a chance to set up a pulsating climax, but he dragged his effort wide of goal when set clear and with it went Leeds' last chance of taking something from their trip to Leicester.
