news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/l/leeds_united/4499679.stmThe advisers of Leeds midfielder Seth Johnson have said club chairman Ken Bates' comments have "disappointed" the 26-year-old. Johnson will not be played by Leeds as his next and 60th outing will trigger a £250,000 payment to former club Derby. And Bates said best chance of playing for the club would be in the reserves. "Seth is most disappointed Mr Bates has chosen to put the matter into the public domain in this manner," said Johnson's representatives. He added: "Seth suffered an horrific injury in snapping his cruciate ligament and has undergone a number of operations, missing a huge chunk of his career as a result. "Thankfully, Seth is now fit and eager to play for Leeds United." But his Elland Road future is in doubt with Leeds seemingly keen to get a player who earns £35,000-a-week of their wage bill. Johnson joined Leeds from Derby in 2001 for a fee that could reach £7m. The midfielder, who started his career at Crewe, has only played a limited role this season after being sidelined with a knee ligament injury. Johnson sustained the injury in the win at Blackburn in a Premiership match in April 2004. But he returned to action as a substitute in the 1-1 draw with Millwall on 6 March and has featured on a regular basis since.
