www.channel4.com/sport/football_italia/mar13h.htmlInter have cooled talk that they will net Arsenal’s Thierry Henry and dismissed claims that they had agreed to sign Ronaldinho in the past. Owner Massimo Moratti last week admitted that his club liked Henry, but has moved to distance himself from the Highbury star on Monday. “Of course I like Henry, I don’t think anyone would respond differently to that question,” he remarked on the Inter website. “However, for the time being, it is only speculation.” Inter are one of numerous clubs monitoring Henry’s situation given his uncertain future with the Premiership outfit. Meanwhile, the oil baron has also looked to quash talk that he was on the verge of netting Ronaldinho while he was at Paris Saint-Germain. “We never had the player in our hands,” Moratti continued when asked to comment on the Barcelona sensation. “I did have an exchange deal on my mind and the President of the club which Ronaldinho played for accepted. “However, their Coach was good enough to reject such an option as he wanted to keep the player.” Although Moratti failed to mention any names, it is understood that the Nerazzurri patron was ready to sacrifice Alvaro Recoba – his favourite player – for the Brazilian in the summer of 2002.
