www.channel4.com/sport/football_italia/dec5j.htmlAlvaro Recoba has reacted to speculation over his future by reiterating his desire to commit himself to Inter. The 29-year-old striker is set for contract talks with club owner Massimo Moratti shortly and despite rumours that Fiorentina’s Valeri Bojinov may arrive in January to replace him, the Uruguayan has insisted that he wants to stay put. "I am going to spend the next two or three years with Inter, then I will return to Uruguay and finish my career with my first club Danubio," Recoba stated. While it has been suggested that his wage demands may cause problems, Recoba reacted with frustration to claims that he earned mega-money last season. "It’s not true that I earned £5.5m last year, I’ve never seen that kind of money," declared the South American. "I want to stay because I like it here. This is the best job in the world and I don’t care what I earn." Meanwhile, Inter have been linked with a move for Ajax midfielder Maxwell during the January transfer window. The Brazilian is available on a free transfer in the summer, but Inter are ready to pay a nominal fee in order to beat Juventus for his signature.
