The Brazilian has already indicated that he will leave the club when his contract expires in Amsterdam at the end of the season. Juve have been keen on the defender but the latest reports from Italy say that Inter officials have met with the player and offered him a four-year deal. Maxwell will not be leaving Ajax until the summer so Inter have plenty of time to conclude a deal, but they are wary of other clubs trying to sign the player. Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is a keen admirer of Maxwell and could try and snatch him from under the noses of the Italians.
