www.channel4.com/sport/football_italia/oct10g.htmlJavier Zanetti could be back in action for Inter sooner than expected as he continues his speedy recovery from injury. The Argentine international was set to be sidelined for up to three months after sustaining a thigh strain in Week 1. However, the right-back has been making extraordinary progress since picking up the injury against Treviso on August 28. The 32-year-old was used for 30 minutes in Sunday’s 3-1 friendly win against Swiss side Chiasso. "I thought Javier did well," stated boss Roberto Mancini. "He needed to make contact with the field of play again after 40 days out. "He will now continue with his rehabilitation programme as already planned." Mancio has been forced to play with Jose Ze Maria and centre-back Ivan Cordoba in the right-back role. The tactician still has some injury worries to contend with though, as Cristiano Zanetti and Dejan Stankovic are currently sidelined with injury. The latter could be out for as long as two months with a suspected thigh muscle strain suffered on international duty.
