www.channel4.com/sport/football_italia/oct4c.htmlInter chief Massimo Moratti has called for greater determination from his side after their 2-0 defeat to Juventus on Sunday. A win for the Nerazzurri would have put them joint top of the standings, but instead they now lie six points behind the Bianconeri. “It wasn’t a dreadful performance but there wasn’t the determination I spoke of last week, determination that was predictable from Juventus' and which I was also hoping Inter to have,” said the Inter patron. “With such a strong Juventus this year you cannot go on to the pitch with a minimum of prudence,” continued Moratti. “ We needed to come on and play seriously with a strong attitude that perhaps our players didn’t have enough of.” The oil baron pinpointed Inter’s midfield as the key area where they failed to match Juventus. Juan Sebastian Veron, Cristiano Zanetti and Javier Zanetti were all missing and that lack of strength in the centre was crucial. “Our midfield suffered from the physical appearance of our opponents. Our strikers may have been isolated,” he added. “Physically there was a certain kind of difference. Veron could certainly have counted, just as the absences of Javier and Cristiano Zanetti were important. “Unfortunately they weren’t available, but these are all things that can happen during the course of a championship,” concluded Moratti.
