Inter boss Roberto Mancini expects a tough test against Rangers on Wednesday, but concedes he is thinking of using the rotation system.
The Nerazzurri put in a convincing display in the 1-0 win over Fiorentina at the weekend, yet there will be changes to the line-up for tomorrow night’s clash.
"We need to work hard because it will be a difficult game for us," the tactician stated earlier today.
"Our opponents are an excellent side even if they are having a few problems in their domestic League.
"Overall, they have a good group of players with a strong spine to the side. All of their players have great character and we need to be aware.
"Nevertheless, I could make three of four changes to the team who faced Fiorentina."
Inter, who got their campaign off to a winning start against Artmedia, are favourites to win Group H even if Mancio is keeping cool.
"Our path is pretty tough," he argued. "I saw the Rangers-Porto game and they will be hard to face.
"They’ll be in with a chance of qualification along with us, but all three of us will need to battle until the very end."
Wednesday’s match will be played behind closed doors at the San Siro in an environment that will pose a few problems.
"It is hard to play in an empty stadium of this size as you just don’t know what will happen," Mancini added. "If we win then we will take a massive step forward."
Doubts remain over whether Esteban Cambiasso will start because of a slight knee problem. Dejan Stankovic is ready to play in the middle if the Argentine doesn’t make it.
Adriano is again set to begin in attack even though the striker is struggling for form at the present time.
He may be partnered in attack by Julio Cruz after the latter was rested for the Week 5 game.
