www.channel4.com/sport/football_italia/sep22a.htmlRoberto Mancini has praised his Inter side for victory at Chievo, but concedes that they should have scored more than just one goal. The Nerazzurri collected a 1-0 win thanks to a Walter Samuel header, even if the Verona club did threaten to spoil the party at the death. "We did suffer towards the end of the game and the only regret is that we didn’t score a few more goals," stated the tactician. "Had that been the case then we would have all been a little calmer, but Chievo are a good side. "I must compliment my players for their excellent approach to the game as it was important to come away with maximum points." Samuel was making his League debut following suspension and he struck up a good understanding with Marco Materazzi in defence. "It went well with Samuel even if we have already played together in the Champions League," stated the latter. "We made sure that our ‘keeper wasn’t kept very busy, also thanks to the work of the full-backs." Summer signing Luis Figo was also smiling after a pretty encouraging display on the right wing. "This squad has many alternatives and we can win a lot of games," said the Portuguese ace. "I’m also happy for Samuel who scored an important goal which made sure we collected the points."
