Serie A Week 3 - 17/9/05 (19.30 UK)
Stadio San Siro
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
After his disastrous squad rotation against Palermo, Inter Coach Roberto Mancini is likely to ring the changes again for this match. Mancini was heavily criticised after his three changes in midfield were blamed for the transformation from 3-0 winners in Week 1, to going 3-0 down in Week 2 until their two consolation goals in the last five minutes saved some of their blushes. Lecce will be hoping to take advantage of this added pressure after two disappointing performances so far.
With the Giallorossi fans still mourning the departure of Zdenek Zeman and his exciting attacking brand of football, a defeat to Livorno followed by a 0-0 home draw with Ascoli could soon see Angelo Gregucci feeling some of this pressure himself. This will not be helped by last season’s revelation Mirko Vucinic being relegated to the bench, where he looks set to stay despite coming close to breaking the deadlock as a substitute against Ascoli. The Lecce tifosi will be expecting a much-improved performance, even if a win at the San Siro might be a bit of a tall order.
Inter will return to the same team as they used on the opening day against Treviso, with the exception of the injured Javier Zanetti who is replaced by Jose Zè Maria. That means there is no place for David Pizarro or Kily Gonzalez who make way for Dejan Stankovic and Luis Figo. Juan Veron will also return to his more favoured central midfield role after playing on the wing in the trip to Sicily. Lecce will field an unchanged team despite their less than inspiring display last week.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Inter (probable): Julio Cesar; Zè Maria, Cordoba, Materazzi, Favalli; Figo, Cambiasso, Veron, Stankovic; Adriano, Martins
Lecce (probable): Sicignano; Angelo, Diamoutene, Stovini, Rullo; Cassetti, Ledesma, Del Vecchio, Pinardi; Pellè, Konan
