United boss Kevin Blackwell has revealed that striker Rob Hulse will be out of action for the next few weeks after suffering ankle ligament damage.
The 25-year-old was injured in the first half of Wednesday night's Norwegian tour opener against FC Haugesund and United's fears have since been confirmed.
"Rob's going to be out for a couple of weeks now with ankle ligament damage," said Blackwell.
"We will have it scanned when we get back to Leeds but for the meanwhile he's had it strapped up and immobilised.
"It was the first time we've played 45 minutes and for it to happen ten minutes before the break was very unfortunate.
"We now have to work on getting Rob right for the games at the end of the month and hope he can build up his match fitness in those."
The former West Bromwich Albion forward had been looking forward to completing his first full pre-season training schedule in nearly two years after previous injury problems ruled him out of the start of last season.
"It's a blow for Rob but fortunately as far as ankle ligament problems go, it's not serious and I'm certain he'll get a few full games under his belt before the season starts proper," added Blackwell.
Midfielder Seth Johnson is another slight concern for Leeds after picking up a knock on his knee in last night's game.
Said Blackwell: "We've pulled him out of training tonight and he's getting a bit of treatment at the moment, so we'll have to monitor his progress."
