Inter have yet to make a firm offer for the services of Dejan Stankovic according to Lazio. "Up until now I haven’t heard them make a concrete bid for him," said capital official Giuseppe Matteo Masoni. The two clubs have met on several occasions in the past month to discuss a possible move for the player. The former Red Star ace is coming to the end of his Lazio career as he has less than six months left on his contract. That helped to increased rumours that he could leave for Inter immediately which would enable his club to receive a nominal fee instead of nothing in the summer. "We are working hard so that we won’t have to deal with any more Stankovic situations in the future," added Masoni. "We have eight players whose contracts will expire in 2004 and we have eight to deal with in 2005. "As soon as we have some certainties over our financial future then we can start to open talks with everyone."
