Inter may have been rocked with the resignation of Massimo Moratti but the club is expected to sign Adriano on Wednesday. Nerazzurri officials Lele Oriali and Marco Branca have been holding talks with Parma over the past few days and an agreement is understood to have been reached. Talks are believed to be at such an advanced stage that the transfer could be completed tomorrow, with the Brazilian ready to face Modena on Sunday. Parma claimed at the weekend that they would only release Adriano if they received Julio Cruz in return. It’s unclear at this stage whether that will occur as there are conflicting stories in Italy today. Some claim that Inter, who already own 50 per cent of the player, will hand the Tardini outfit close to £18m. It’s also been claimed that the Milan side will sign Ianis Zicu, a 20-year-old Romanian starlet, from Dinamo Bucharest and send him on loan to Parma for the rest of the season. Meanwhile, Inter are set to continue talks with Lazio over the possible immediate arrival of Dejan Stankovic. They will also enquire about the availability of Jaap Stam.
