Christian Vieri will remain with Inter until the end of the season according to a close friend of the Italian.
There are massive question marks over his future after his misunderstanding with the club coincided with Inter’s probable immediate capture of Parma striker Adriano.
Yet Ernesto Bronzetti, the agent who helped complete his move from Juventus to Atletico Madrid in 1997, believes he is going nowhere.
"There are two clubs that are interested in Vieri in Spain," he told ‘La Domenica Sportiva’ last night.
"One is Valencia but they haven’t got the money to finance the move. The other is Barcelona but they struggled to come up with a pay package for Edgar Davids."
The Azzurri hitman has also constantly been linked with a move to Chelsea but Bronzetti has rubbished that idea too.
"As far as the English side are concerned, they are blocked by the fact that Vieri can’t play in the Champions’ League," he added.
"I firmly believe that Inter won’t sell Vieri. And it is not true that Vieri is desperate to leave as I know him too well.
"He is a serious professional who lives the life of an athlete. He doesn’t drink, he doesn’t smoke and is very aware of what he eats."
Vieri, who was fined by the Nerazzurri after he failed to attend the Udinese Cup game, has also been linked with moves to Milan and Juventus.
"My comment with regard to us being interested in Vieri was a joke," said Milan chief Adriano Galliani. "I even phoned (Inter President) Massimo Moratti to confirm that."
Juve transfer guru Luciano Moggi said: "We already have super champions in attacking positions."
