KEEP YA DIRTY SPICK HANDS OFF HIM Barcelona say they are interested in signing Inter ace Christian Vieri but only if the price is right. The Italian has been linked with a number of clubs as speculation suggesting that he will quit his current club escalates. "We would be willing to talk but only if the economical conditions are favourable to us," Vice-president Sandro Rosell told ‘El Mundo Deportivo’. "It is obvious that we know all about Vieri and his ability. Yet in order for him to arrive here there needs to be certain circumstances that are currently not in place." The main stumbling block for the Spanish giants wouldn’t be a transfer fee but the player’s wages. The former Atletico Madrid and Juventus star nets around £3.2m a season which seems too steep for Barca considering their current finances. It is believed that Vieri would consider a return to La Liga after his successful spell with Atletico in the 1997/98 season. He netted 24 goals in 24 games in that campaign.
