Dejan Stankovic is just days away from leaving Lazio for Inter according to the Stadio Olimpico outfit. The Serbian has been continually linked with a January switch to the Nerazzurri and those rumours seem to have been confirmed. "The only January sale is with regards to Stankovic," said Lazio President Ugo Longo. "Negotiations are taking place and we hope they will be concluded by the end of the month." Stankovic is set to be sold immediately as Lazio would risk losing him for nothing at the end of the season. Speculation suggests that a nominal fee of around £4m will be agreed for the midfielder who was also wanted by Juventus. Inter have admitted that they are interested even if Lazio boss Roberto Mancini insisted this week that the player would remain until the end of the season. The Biancocelesti are keen to net a fee given their financial problems. Even if Longo ruled out rumours that the likes of Jaap Stam and Massimo Oddo could also depart. "No one else will leave," he added. "I can guarantee that. I’m so sure because I believe that we will be successful in our attempts to gain an increase in capital." Stam has been linked with Inter, Milan and Juventus. While Oddo is also wanted by the reigning Italian champions. Longo also dismissed claims that Mancini is assessing his future as Coach. "He’s never thought about leaving," he noted. "He’s always been very close to this club."
