Dejan Stankovic could be heading for Juventus after Inter officially confirmed they do not have anything signed by the player. “Our interest for Stankovic is nothing new,” explained Technical Director Marco Branca on ‘Radio Spazio Aperto’ this afternoon. “I have read some very interesting statements over the last few days and wish to officially point out that we have no pre-contracts signed by the midfielder.” This is a crucial revelation, as it rules out disciplinary action against the Serb international. Juventus had suggested they were in possession of a signed contract with Stankovic, even though his agent hinted that a move to Inter was almost complete. If the Lazio man had indeed signed two different contracts with separate clubs, he would have been suspended for several months. Now that Stankovic has been freed from this impasse, it looks as if he will be wearing the Bianconeri jersey in the near future. Meanwhile, Inter are looking at other negotiations with Lazio during the January transfer window. “There has been no discussion of Luciano’s move to Lazio,” insisted Branca. “This is all newspaper talk.” “As for Jaap Stam, he is a great player and was one of our transfer targets in the summer, but we were by no means the only club interested in his services.”
