Inter boss Alberto Zaccheroni insists that there are no problems with Christian Vieri after he was dropped for the Bologna game. The Italian striker surprisingly started the clash on the bench yesterday fuelling more rumours of unrest. "I have four players who are not at the top of their form after recent injury problems," insisted the tactician. "They are Van Der Meyde, Emre, Recoba and Vieri. These players needed to be looked after and the decision to rest Vieri was taken some time ago." Vieri did come on as a second half substitute though where he almost scored in the 2-0 win at the Dall’Ara. "He did well when he came on and was very close to netting until Gianluca Pagliuca made an incredible save," added Zac. One player that did score was Alvaro Recoba who started a League game for the first time this season. "I’m happy with my display even if I’m not at my very best physically," he stated. "My goal will certainly help my morale." Was his goal offside? "I’m not sure to be honest," added the Uruguayan. "I thought it was at the time but the referee instantly allowed it."
