Fabio Cannavaro believes that Inter can’t afford to let Dinamo Kiev take control of tomorrow’s Champions’ League clash. The Italian side must win in the Ukraine on Wednesday if they want to progress to the last 16 of the competition. "We need to take an instant grip on the game and attack their weak points," said the stopper. "We can’t go there and hope to catch them on the counter attack. If we want to go forward in this competition then we must show our quality." The Nerazzurri had looked almost certain to qualify until dropped home points against Lokomotiv Moscow and Arsenal jeopardised their safe passage. "All of the players know that they must give their very best for themselves, the fans and the club because we don’t want to be out of the Champions’ League by Christmas," added Cannavaro. The former Parma captain should return to the starting line-up after his recent fitness problems. Dutch winger Andy Van der Meyde, Alvaro Recoba and Ivan Cordoba could also be at Alberto Zaccheroni’s disposal. However, Marco Materazzi, Thomas Helveg and Cristiano Zanetti are definitely out. The latter won’t return until the New Year because of a thigh strain.
