I KNEW IT, BIG CAT SIGHTINGS EH. ALMOST HAD ME FOOLED OVER THE LAST FEW WEEKS LOL. ;D
Would you Adam & Neve it - Big Cat Caught!
The mystery of the recent sighting of big cats around Elland Road has finally been solved thanks to the bravery of three-year-old Neve Dawson of Beeston.
Much to the relief of everyone at Elland Road, what was thought to be a ferocious animal was a rather rare and timid snow leopard, which actually turned out to be a bit of a pussycat really!
Neve saw the big, blue spotted cat crouching behind seats in the east stand at Leeds United’s Elland Road stadium. When it scampered onto the pitch, little Neve chased after it and grabbed it by its long tail. A friendship between the two developed, proving that the snow leopard was happy to have some company after some lonely nights around the stadium.
The snow leopard has been adopted as Leeds United’s new mascot and will be on duty at every home game in the coming season. Before the big kick-off, we want to find a suitable name for our new mascot and with this in mind we are inviting United fans — young or old — to come up with a name for the big cat.

One lucky winner will also accompany the mascot on its very first official Leeds United appointment at the Family Fun day Sunday 31st July.
There will be a ready-made opportunity to meet the lovable furry animal at Leeds United’s family fun-day when the official away kit for the first team will be launched at Elland Road. If you want to make a date with the mascot — and collect your away shirt - make a note of the date …Sunday, July 31st.
