Christian Vieri is officially out of Saturday’s crucial trip to Juve’s Stadio Delle Alpi, but Alvaro Recoba returns to the squad.
The former Bianconeri hitman bruised his back during the 5-1 defeat to Arsenal midweek and doctors did not clear him to play this weekend.
This pushes Julio Ricardo Cruz in to the starting eleven as a probable partner to Obafemi Martins and Andy van der Meyde.
Alvaro Recoba also returns to the squad following a series of muscular and ankle problems, but is likely to start from the bench.
Emre Belozoglu and Fabio Cannavaro are back from minor injury worries, but Marco Materazzi is out for two months with a torn calf muscle.
