Christian Vieri says he doesn’t know and doesn’t care why some Inter fans are jeering him. The Italian striker has been singled out for abuse by the Nerazzurri faithful despite his undoubted importance to the San Siro outfit. "I honestly don’t know why they are whistling me," he told ‘Inter Channel’ on Thursday. "I haven’t got a clue. I don’t think I’ve done anything wrong. "However, if they want to whistle then I haven’t got a problem with that. They pay for their ticket so they can do whatever they want." Vieri hasn’t been an image of joy in recent months. He’s looked unhappy on the field of play and his refusal to celebrate goals have led to stories that he could soon be out of the club. "It’s been a month and a half that people are talking about me, making up all sorts of things," he added. "They are saying that I’m angry and upset with everyone but that is not true. There are no problems with the rest of the squad and I’m very tranquil." So why the long face? "When games go as they have been going then it is normal for me to not be happy," he explained. There doesn’t seem to be one specific reason why Vieri is being singled-out by the Inter support. Speculation suggests that the jeers are coming from Hector Cuper sympathisers who blame Vieri for the Argentine’s dismissal.
