Real Madrid insist that they are still not prepared to pay Inter the final instalment of Ronaldo's transfer fee despite a FIFA ruling. "We will go down all of the roads that are still open to us," stated Real director general Jorge Valdano. "We want to make Inter understand that they are mistaken about some contractual elements and we will keep on fighting in the institutions that exist for this." FIFA did state recently that the Spanish giants would have to pay £7m by the end of this month to the San Siro outfit. The initial agreement drawn up in the summer of 2002 gave Inter the option of either signing Santiago Solari or accept £7m in cash as the final part of the Brazilian’s £30m sale. The Nerazzurri did offer the Argentine winger a deal but the midfielder decided to reject the chance of a move. Reports suggest that Madrid lawyers believe they can win the case but Valdano did admit that "if Real will have to pay then we will pay." ALL SOUNDS WAY TOO FAMILIAR TO ME.
