Alberto Zaccheroni celebrated his first win at Inter last week and will be expected to continue the roll against relegation fodder Ancona.
Zac remains unbeaten at the helm with four points from his two games in charge and morale is now high. Chievo only succumbed to a 2-0 home defeat once they went down to ten men, but that victory boosted the confidence of goalscorers Christian Vieri and Alvaro Recoba. The Uruguayan in particular silenced some of his critics and will be eager to make his mark once again in the San Siro. Andy van der Meyde returns from injury and will battle for his place with Emre Belozoglu as the third prong of that trademark Zaccheroni trident attack.
Ancona are also unbeaten in two games, both of which were less than spectacular 0-0 draws. Relatively toothless in attack due to the poor form of Dario Hubner and ex-Inter striker Maurizio Ganz, new boss Nedo Sonetti has at least instilled a strong work ethic and organised defence. New signing Milan Rapajc, who is a familiar face from four seasons at Perugia, could make his debut in this match. There can be no doubting the wily old tactician will come here to defend doggedly, perhaps hoping to embarrass the Nerazzurri on the break with their pacey winger Vincenzo Sommese.
