Inter President Massimo Moratti has admitted that he is considering his position with the Italian giants. The Nerazzurri chief was heavily criticised by some sections of the crowd, before and during the Roma game last night, which actually saw him leave the stadium soon after kick-off. "The only thing I was interested in last night was to see how new boss Alberto Zaccheroni had settled in," he said on Monday. "The protest by the home fans was something that I can comprehend and something that I will consider. "Will I quit? If I believe that I need to take a step backwards then I will do so. If I think that I should stand firm then I will." Moratti sacked Hector Cuper last week, but the fans are making it clear that the club and the players are responsible for the poor start to the season. Not even their star players were free of criticism after both Alvaro Recoba and Christian Vieri were heckled by fans on Sunday. "They are men that shouldn’t be attacked but supported," added Moratti. "Even if it is right that everyone should take responsibility."
