Inter Milan have dismissed their Argentine coach Hector Cuper. Inter's 2-2 draw with struggling Brescia on Saturday left them seven points adrift of Serie A leaders Juventus after six games. The 47-year-old Cuper, the longest-serving coach under Nerazzurro supremo Massimo Moratti, had been under pressure following Inter's 3-1 defeat to neighbours AC Milan two weeks ago. "Inter Milan have decided to dismiss Hector Cuper, technical coach Oscar Cavallero and Juan Alfano. The club thanks them for the work they have done in the past," said Inter in a statement on Sunday morning. In two seasons in charge, Cuper failed to bring a title to the San Siro. The former Valencia coach had taken Inter to a second and third place finishes in Italy's top flight and to two European semi-finals (Champions League and UEFA Cup). Cuper's second in command, Corrado Verdelli, is to take over as provisional coach for Tuesday's Champions League match clash with Lokomotiv Moscow, the club said. Cuper is the second Serie A coach to lose his job this year after Leonardo Menichini of Ancona.
