Perugia chief Luciano Gaucci believes that Inter should replace current boss Hector Cuper with Dino Zoff (pictured).
The Argentine tactician was confirmed as the Nerazzurri Coach on Monday but he’s been warned that his job is in jeopardy after the 3-1 loss to Milan.
"I would suggest that Moratti looks to Zoff," stated Gaucci. "He has the necessary experience to take charge of such a prestigious club who have a busy season ahead of them."
Speculation suggests that Alberto Zaccheroni and Inter’s Primavera boss Corrado Verdelli are candidates to replace the former Valencia man.
But Gaucci is adamant that the 1982 World Cup winner is the only man for the job should Cuper be shown the door.
"I have great respect for Verdelli who could develop into a great tactician," added Gaucci. "But he hasn’t got the charisma or skill of Zoff right now."
Meanwhile, after Cuper and Empoli boss Daniele Baldini were told that their jobs were safe, Lecce have made a similar step.
The heavy 4-1 home defeat to Brescia was not well received by fans but Delio Rossi won’t face the chop.
"We’re not even discussing his future," stated President Quirico Semeraro. "We just need to give a bit more on the pitch."
