Under-fire boss Hector Cuper insists that he can lead Inter to Scudetto or Champions’ League glory this season. Nerazzurri President Massimo Moratti confirmed yesterday that the Argentine would keep his job for now but warned that may not always be the case. "I know that this will be a vital season for my future at this club," Cuper told ‘La Repubblica’ on Tuesday. "But I’m certain that we have what it takes to win Lo Scudetto or the Champions’ League this term." Cuper’s position was placed in jeopardy after a heavy 3-1 loss to Milan on Sunday in which his tactical decisions left a lot to be desired. "Despite that loss I still believe in myself," added the former Valencia man. "I can also feel the strong support of Moratti who I thank for that." A number of tacticians have been named as possible replacements such as Alberto Zaccheroni or Dino Zoff. But Cuper is ignoring the speculation. "I am confident that we can pick ourselves up," he continued. "But I can’t comment on Moratti’s intentions." The San Siro chief decided to keep Cuper over the summer after he failed to convince Roberto Mancini to leave Lazio.
