Paul Butler has has signed his new contract and is staying at Elland Road.
The skipper has put pen to paper on the deal that will keep him at Leeds until 2007. There had been considerable speculation that Cardiff City had expressed keen interest in the 32 year-old, but the club have confirmed that the captain will stay.
Paul had already started pre-season training, and he will be looking forward to playing competitively again after missing the last month of last season following the head injury he sustained against Sheffield United in April.
