One fixture, on July 23rd, has yet to be confirmed, but among the other games will be a trip to south Yorkshire where they will take on a Barnsley side that is now in the care of a former Elland Road favourite. Andy Ritchie, who has just been confirmed as The Tykes' permanent boss after a successful spell as caretaker, bagged 40 goals in a 127-game stay at Elland Road in the 1980s. He later returned to coach at the club, eventually rising to the position of Academy Director.
