Serie A Week 24 - 8/2/06 (19.30 UK)
Stadio Franchi
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Inter have been in superb form but face one of their toughest tests of the season when they visit the Stadio Artemio Franchi. The Viola will be determined to put pressure on the top three with a win here and in the process could more-or-less hand the Scudetto to Juventus.
After Milan dropped points against Sampdoria last weekend, the Gigliati gained ground with a nervy 1-0 win over bottom-side Lecce. Luca Toni is maintaining a devastating goal scoring pace with his Capocannoniere tally of 20 and will undoubtedly be giving Inter's defence some sleepless nights.
However, Inter are 14 games unbeaten in Serie A and will approach this clash with confidence. The Nerazzurri are now the only side apart from Juventus with any genuine title aspirations, but know that any slip-up would now render the Scudetto a pipe-dream. Mancini's men edged past Chievo 1-0 last weekend but will need to show a lot more if they are to prevail here.
Cesare Prandelli has no new injury worries. The visitors have the usual absentees – Jose Ze Maria, Marco Andreolli, Alvaro Recoba, Giuseppe Favalli and Cristiano Zanetti are all still out of action. New signing Cesar is also not match fit and Obafemi Martins remains on international duty with Nigeria at the African Nations Cup.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Fiorentina: Lobont; Ujfalusi, Dainelli, Kroldrup, Pasqual; Fiore, Pazienza, Donadel, Jorgensen; Pazzini, Toni
Inter: Julio Cesar, J. Zanetti, Cordoba, Samuel, Burdisso, Figo: Veron, Cambiasso, Stankovic; Cruz, Adriano
