Arsenal Ladies lost their unbeaten record for this season last night when they were defeated 2-1 by Charlton Ladies at The Valley. Former Gunners Eartha Pond and Casey Stoney scored for Charlton with Jane "Freddie" Ludlow replying for Arsenal. This puts Charlton firmly in the lead in the Premiership three points above Fulham (who have a game in hand). Leeds are seven points behind Fulham and Arsenal are fourth - one point behind Leeds but with two games in hand.
There are no games this weekend due to England Ladies playing in Russia - the next game for Arsenal Ladies is another "top of the table" clash away to Fulham Ladies on Sunday 26th October with a 2pm kickoff at Motspur Park.
