England's 1966 World Cup-winning captain Bobby Moore has been named in the Uefa European Hall of Fame. To mark its Golden Jubilee the European football body has invited all 52 member associates to nominate their most outstanding player of the past 50 years. Moore has been chosen as England's representative in the House of European Football in Nyon. Scotland's Denis Law, Wales' John Charles, Northern Ireland's Pat Jennings and Johnny Giles of the Republic will also feature. HALL OF FAMERS Bobby Moore (England) Denis Law (Scotland) John Charles (Wales) Pat Jennings (N Ireland) Johnny Giles (Rep of Ireland) Just Fontaine (France) Fritz Walter (Germany) Dino Zoff (Italy) Ferenc Puskas (Hungary) Johan Cruyff (Holland) Eusebio (Portugal) There were some surprises, with France choosing Just Fontaine ahead of Michel Platini or Zinedine Zidane. Fontaine scored 13 goals to become top scorer at the 1958 World Cup but never won a major trophy with France. Germany also produced a shock by naming Fritz Walter as their representative ahead of the likes of Franz Beckenbauer. Celtic forward Henrik Larsson (Sweden) and Sunderland keeper Mart Poom (Estonia) were two of the current players to make it.
