Pavel Nedved has admitted that he may not retire once his current contract with Juventus expires. The Czech Republic star was adamant that he would hang up his boots in 2006 but that stance could now change. "If I feel strong enough to continue playing in 2006 then I will go on," he stated. "But I can’t make a decision on that right now." That news is thought to have delighted the Juventus hierarchy who want to keep hold of the 31-year-old. The former Lazio man has been so inspirational since his arrival in Turin that reports suggest they want to offer him a two-year extension. Nedved, a front runner for this year’s Golden Ball, is also believed to be a summer transfer target for Chelsea. The Stamford Bridge outfit are understood to have already had an earlier bid for the player rejected by the Bianconeri.
