The Football Association of Ireland website said that the players had been forced to withdraw from the squad by their clubs. Striker Connolly made his first start in two months for West Ham against Gilligan on Saturday. Dunne lined out in Manchester City's scoreless draw against Fulham. Irish boss Brian Kerr has already called up West Brom goalkeeper Joe Murphy and Hearts full-back Alan Maybury to the squad following the withdrawal of Nicky Colgan and Steve Finnan.
