Gregory Burgett, 24, needed hospital treatment after the incident in the Plaid club in Manhattan on 18 March. Judge Melissa Jackson granted Ms Love a discharge on condition she pays the victim's medical bills, joins a drug programme and stays out of trouble. If Ms Love violates the conditions, she could face 15 days in jail. Assault charge Speaking after the Manhattan Criminal Court hearing, Ms Love said: "I just wanted it to be over." Mr Burgett needed three staples in his head to close the wound after the incident during Ms Love's show. She was arrested on charges of reckless endangerment and third-degree assault. Those charges were reduced to one count of disorderly conduct. The widow of Nirvana star Kurt Cobain is also facing an assault charge in California for allegedly attacking a woman with a bottle at an ex-boyfriend's home in April. A preliminary hearing has been set in Los Angeles for 27 October.
