www.leedsunited.comLeeds United will discover next month if they have been successful in their appeal to avoid a fine over their disciplinary record. Manager Kevin Blackwell was present as the club stated its case at a disciplinary hearing in Manchester today, but the outcome will not be known until the full FA disciplinary committee meets on August 5th. The club feels it has received a good hearing today. The FA imposed a suspended £60,000 fine after United picked up 78 bookings and five red cards in the 2003/04 season. Last season Leeds players picked up 81 bookings and seven red cards but at the same time played nine more games than the previous season. United have another date with the FA later this week, with the tribunal to decide on the fee for Dan Harding following the defender's move from Brighton to Leeds being heard on Thursday.
