Adriano has admitted that his agent held talks with Chelsea before he agreed to sign a new five-year deal with Inter.
The Brazilian forward had been linked with the Blues and Real Madrid throughout the summer, with reports suggesting that the West London outfit were willing to offer the Nerazzurri a world record £70m for his services.
“My agent did have some meetings with them and I must admit that I did stop to think about it,” said the former Parma ace.
“But I am fully adapted to Italian football and I'm on my way to my first World Cup Finals – there was no reason to risk everything by leaving.
“I also wanted to have a sequence with the same club and I realised that I feel good here at Inter. I want to leave my mark and win titles for this club.”
