www.channel4.com/sport/football_italia/aug30b.htmlInternazionale will be forced to do without captain Javier Zanetti for over a month because of injury. The Argentine picked up a thigh problem in the 3-0 win over Treviso and tests have revealed he’ll be sidelined for at least 40 days. There were already fears on Sunday evening that Zanetti’s injury was a relatively serious one. "We are concerned because Zanetti is not the kind of player who stops if he doesn’t have to," stated boss Roberto Mancini. The South American will now be rested completely for the next two or three days before starting a rehabilitation programme. Zanetti will miss around six Serie A matches, including the Derby d’Italia against Juventus on October 2, and also the Champions League ties against Artmedia and Rangers. Brazilian Jose Ze Maria is now set to be handed the right-back shirt during Zanetti’s absence. Mancini could also opt to use centre-back Ivan Cordoba in that position seeing that he has been fielded on the flank in the past. However, the Colombian is unlikely to be used there until Walter Samuel returns from his suspension on September 21.
