Udinese have rejected media reports that David Pizarro is set to join Inter in the next few days. Stories yesterday suggested that a move for the midfielder was imminent but the Bianconeri have rubbished those claims. "Everyone knows that Inter like Pizarro but we have never sat down with them to discuss a transfer," said sporting director Pierpaolo Marino. "I wasn’t in Milan on Monday and I didn’t meet with (Inter director) Lele Oriali either. "They asked us a few questions about Pizarro on the eve of our Coppa Italia game a few weeks ago but no serious negotiations resulted." It was believed that Inter would meet with Udinese in the next few days to complete the move. Yet Marino is unaware of any scheduled talks. "We haven’t set up an appointment to meet up with Inter," he added. "Obviously anything can happen before the transfer window closes this week but nothing is moving right now." Inter had apparently turned their attention to Pizarro after deciding to sign Lazio’s Dejan Stankovic at the end of the season rather than immediately. "I don’t know whether Stankovic will be joining Inter but he could easily play alongside Pizarro," added Marino.
